Hyundai Venue Variant-Wise Engine Details: The upcoming 2025 Hyundai Venue has created massive buzz just days before its official launch. A new internal document leak has revealed the complete variant-wise engine combinations and transmission options of Hyundai’s compact SUV.

The Venue, one of India’s best-selling SUVs, will now adopt the new HX-series nomenclature (HX2 to HX10) and bring major updates to its engines, design, and overall features.

Hyundai Venue 2025 Variant Line-Up

With the 2026 Hyundai Venue, Hyundai has completely revamped its trim hierarchy under the new HX-series banner. The lineup now starts from HX2, followed by HX4, HX5, HX6, HX6T, HX7, HX8, and HX10.

Interestingly, the numbers 3 and 9 are missing, as Hyundai has deliberately skipped these positions to maintain clear segmentation between entry, mid, and top trims. The “HX” prefix stands for Hyundai Xperience, symbolizing the brand’s refreshed design language and technology-driven product philosophy.

Bookings for the new Venue are now open for a token amount of ₹25,000, both at Hyundai dealerships and through the brand’s official online platform.

The new HX-series structure not only simplifies the variant lineup but also introduces new powertrain flexibility, including the confirmed 1.5-litre diesel automatic (AT) — as the diesel engine was previously offered only with a manual transmission.

Engine & Powertrain Options

The 2025 Venue will continue with three refined engines, upgraded to BS6-II standards, offering improved efficiency and drivability.

Body Colours: Monotone & Dual-Tone

The 2025 Venue continues with Hyundai’s bold and modern colour palette, adding a few new tones to refresh the lineup.

  • Hazel Blue with Abyss Black Roof (New)

These new tones strengthen the Venue’s premium appeal while complementing its redesigned front fascia and connected LED lighting theme.

Expected Variant Highlights (Based on Early Reveals)

Although Hyundai hasn’t yet released the official brochure, early previews and credible media sources outline the following likely feature structure:

HX2 / HX4 – Entry Variants
Likely to continue with the 1.2 MPi engine setup, offering standard safety and comfort features for daily use.

HX5 / HX6 / HX6T – Mid Variants
Expected to bring in the 1.0 Turbo GDi petrol engine with 7-speed DCT option and updated infotainment features. Diesel AT availability from HX5 onwards adds premium flexibility.

HX7 / HX8 / HX10 – Top Variants
Expected to feature dual 12.3-inch curved displays, 360-degree camera, six airbags, ambient lighting, premium upholstery, and ADAS technology on the top-end HX10.

(Feature distribution based on early preview leaks; final details will be confirmed at launch.)

What’s New for 2025

  • New HX-series variant nomenclature replacing S/SX+ structure
  • Updated 1.5 L diesel engine with higher power (116 PS / 250 Nm) and confirmed 6-Speed Automatic option
  • Enhanced drive and traction modes
  • Dual 12.3-inch curved display setup (expected on top trims)
  • Redesigned dual-tone interiors in Dark Navy and Dove Grey

The Bottom Line

The 2025 Hyundai Venue is shaping up to be one of the most comprehensive updates in its segment. With the addition of the diesel automatic variant, the SUV now appeals to both performance-seekers and long-distance drivers.

Combined with refreshed styling, new cabin tech, and refined engines, the Venue remains one of the most balanced and feature-rich compact SUVs on sale in India. The official launch is scheduled for November 4, 2025, and these leaked details give us a strong preview of what to expect.
