Tata Motors’ 2025 Lineup

2025 could be Tata Motors’ most defining year yet. Known for safe, value-driven cars, the brand is now upping its game with safety tech that was once luxury-only, EVs that feel aspirational, and the return of iconic names in futuristic avatars. This isn’t just Tata’s next chapter — it feels like a whole new book.

Nexon EV with Level-2 ADAS — Smarter, Safer, Sharper

The Nexon EV, already India’s best-selling electric SUV, is about to get even smarter with Level-2 ADAS

Imagine cruising down the Pune–Mumbai expressway on a Sunday evening. Normally, you’d constantly steer, eyes on cars weaving ahead. With the new Empowered+ A variant, the Nexon EV quietly takes over the small corrections — adaptive cruise keeps your pace, lane-keep ensures you don’t wander, and forward collision warning is ready to step in if someone brakes hard ahead.

It stays faithful to the 45 kWh battery that offers around 350 km of real-world range, powered by a 145 PS motor with 215 Nm torque. The 0–100 km/h sprint takes about 8.9 seconds. Tata Nexon EV With ADAS Pricing is expected to land around ₹17.75–17.99 lakh, a small premium over the Empowered+ variant.

Why it matters: If you’ve ever fought to keep pace on the expressway, think of ADAS as your co-pilot, smoothing out micro-adjustments and helping avoid surprises.

Harrier EV — The Premium Leap

Enter the Harrier EV, launched in June 2025 at ₹21.49 lakh.

It rides on the new acti.ev Plus platform with 65 kWh and 75 kWh LFP batteries, available in rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The top AWD variant delivers close to 390 PS, 504 Nm torque, and a 0–100 km/h sprint in just 6.3 seconds. Claimed range is up to 627 km on the MIDC cycle. It’s packed with Level-2 ADAS, a 540° camera, summon mode, OTA updates, a panoramic sunroof, and premium cabin finishes.

What it feels like: It’s like stepping into a concept car — sharp design, high-tech cockpit, and performance that doesn’t hint at a Tata price tag.

Sierra EV — Nostalgia Meets Tomorrow

The Sierra legend returns, expected in late 2025 as both ICE and EV versions. The EV is set in the ₹25–30 lakh range and will sit against Hyundai Creta EV and Maruti’s upcoming eVX. This isn’t just a reboot — it’s a story-driven SUV for both nostalgia fans and new-age buyers.

Safari EV — Family EV with Muscle

Expected by the end of 2025, the Safari EV will stretch the Harrier EV platform into a three-row SUV. Think of it as a family EV with the same premium tech, priced around ₹26–30 lakh.

Punch Facelift — Everyday Hero

The Punch facelift, due in November 2025, updates Tata’s entry SUV with sharper styling and better infotainment. It’ll stay in the ₹6–11 lakh range — an essential offering for everyday Indian families.

Beyond 2025 — Sierra (ICE) & Avinya

The Sierra ICE version arrives in early 2026, priced around ₹20–25 lakh, for those who still prefer petrol or diesel. Beyond that, Tata has the Avinya — its futuristic EV concept, based on a Gen-3 platform, with production targeted for 2026.

What Owners and Community Say

Nexon EV owners love the smooth torque and quiet ride but still face sparse DC fast-charging points. Harrier EV buzz is about AWD and range — though many want to see how its claimed 627 km fares under real conditions. The Sierra’s return is generating nostalgic excitement, especially among ’90s car fans who see the EV reincarnation as a stylish relic with a modern soul.

Pros and Cons of Tata’s 2025 Lineup

Pros

  • ADAS accessible below ₹20 lakh
  • EV range from entry-level to flagship
  • Sierra EV taps nostalgia with new tech
  • Tata continues its safety-first legacy

Cons

  • Charging infrastructure still catching up
  • Nexon EV is inching toward ₹18 lakh territory
  • Range claims need real-world validation

Verdict

Tata’s 2025 lineup isn’t about minor tweaks — it’s a perception shift. The Nexon EV with ADAS brings world-class safety to the masses. The Harrier EV shows Tata can build premium without apology. The Sierra connects past and present. Safari EV and Punch facelift keep the volume strong.

If 2023 was when Tata Motors became India’s EV leader, 2025 might be when it became India’s most aspirational automaker.
