Royal Enfield has refreshed its popular Guerrilla 450 roadster lineup with the addition of a new Shadow Ash dual-tone colour scheme. Priced at ₹2.49 lakh (ex-showroom, Chennai), the update is exclusive to the Dash variant and was unveiled at the vibrant GRRR Nights X Underground event in Pune. With this new shade, Royal Enfield continues to expand choices for enthusiasts looking for a stylish yet rugged mid-capacity motorcycle.

Design & Colours

The Shadow Ash colourway adds a fresh layer of stealth and sophistication to the Guerrilla 450. The paint scheme features a matte olive-green fuel tank paired with blacked-out detailing across the side panels, wheels, and frame. This combination gives the motorcycle a darker, more muscular road presence without straying too far from its familiar silhouette.

The Shadow Ash joins the existing palette of bold Guerrilla colours, but stands out as a more understated, urban-inspired option. As with other Royal Enfield models, the quality of paintwork and finish feels premium, and the dual-tone effect helps highlight the roadster’s strong tank design and compact stance.

Features & Technology

The Dash variant, which gets the new colour, is equipped with Royal Enfield’s Tripper Dash TFT display. This unit supports Google Maps integration, turn-by-turn navigation, and essential ride data. Smartphone connectivity ensures riders stay updated on calls and messages on the go.

Apart from the tech, the Guerrilla 450 retains its all-LED lighting setup, premium switchgear, and a minimalist yet practical layout. The Shadow Ash treatment enhances the Dash variant’s appeal as a feature-rich mid-capacity bike for urban riders.

Performance & Engine

Mechanically unchanged, the Guerrilla 450 continues with the robust 452cc liquid-cooled Sherpa engine. It delivers around 40hp and 40Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed gearbox and a slip-and-assist clutch.

This engine is known for its strong mid-range, making it versatile for both city commuting and highway cruising. Riders can expect a smooth, tractable performance package that matches Royal Enfield’s newer generation of motorcycles built on the Sherpa platform.

Ride & Handling

The Guerrilla 450 is built on a tubular steel frame, offering solid stability and predictable handling. Suspension duties are managed by upside-down front forks and a monoshock at the rear, tuned for a mix of comfort and cornering ability.

Braking comes via disc brakes at both ends, assisted by dual-channel ABS. Combined with its wide handlebar and neutral ergonomics, the bike is equally at home in crowded city roads and open stretches. The comfortable riding triangle ensures long-distance usability without fatigue.

Price, Rivals & Verdict

  • Guerrilla 450 range: ₹2.39 lakh – ₹2.54 lakh (ex-showroom, Chennai)
  • Shadow Ash Dash Variant: ₹2.49 lakh

Rivals:

  • Honda CB500X (international benchmark) – more expensive, higher capacity.
  • KTM Duke 390 – sportier and tech-heavy, but pricier.
  • Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 – same platform, but adventure-focused.

The Guerrilla 450 Dash with Shadow Ash sits smartly in the middle ground, offering urban roadster practicality with an added touch of stealth style.

Verdict

The new Shadow Ash colour may not change the Guerrilla 450 mechanically, but it sharpens its appeal by adding an understated, premium vibe. For buyers eyeing the Dash variant, this is a tasteful addition that keeps the Guerrilla looking fresh while retaining its strong performance and modern features.
