Introduction

Renault has refreshed its popular compact SUV, the Kiger, with a subtle facelift and a new range of accessories aimed at boosting its style and practicality. While the SUV already stood out for its bold design and competitive pricing, these updates are designed to strengthen its position in a segment dominated by the likes of the Nissan Magnite, Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, and Kia Sonet.

Design & Colours

The facelifted Renault Kiger keeps its muscular, compact‑SUV stance, but with sharper styling cues. You’ll notice the reworked front grille, revised bumpers with silver accents, and the updated Renault badge anchoring its bolder look. Its new 16‑inch dual‑tone alloy wheels add a sporty edge while the split headlamp and fog lamp assembly elevate visibility and design coherence.

Colour Line-up (7 options):

  • Oasis Yellow (new)
  • Shadow Grey (new)
  • Caspian Blue
  • Ice Cool White
  • Moonlight Silver
  • Stealth Black
  • Radiant Red

Select trims also offer stylish dual-tone options (Mystery Black roof) in:

  • Oasis Yellow
  • Shadow Grey
  • Ice Cool White
  • Radiant Red

Features & Technology

The facelift is accompanied by a wide range of factory-fit accessories to help customers personalise their Kiger. Highlights include:

  • Body cladding kits and chrome packs for extra style.
  • Roof carriers and cross bars for travel-friendly practicality.
  • Premium seat covers and floor mats designed for easy maintenance.
  • Wireless phone charger and upgraded 8-inch infotainment system with wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay.

On the safety front, the Kiger continues with four airbags, ESP, hill-start assist, and TPMS on higher trims.

Engine & Performance

Mechanically, the Kiger remains unchanged. It continues to be powered by:

  • 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol (72 hp) with manual/AMT options.
  • 1.0-litre turbo-petrol (100 hp) with 5-speed manual or CVT automatic.

This combination ensures a balance between affordability, efficiency, and spirited driving, especially with the turbo-CVT pairing.

Market Positioning & Rivals

Renault has smartly added these updates without increasing prices drastically, ensuring the Kiger remains a value-for-money compact SUV. With fresh colours, accessories, and enhanced appeal, the facelifted Kiger aims to claw back attention in a crowded sub-4m SUV market, taking on refreshed rivals like the Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, and Maruti Brezza.

Motors77 Take

The Renault Kiger facelift is less about radical changes and more about keeping it fresh and desirable in a cut-throat segment. With new accessories and personalisation options, Renault has given buyers more reasons to consider the Kiger without changing its winning formula of bold design and aggressive pricing.
