Mahindra Auto September 2025 Sales: Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., one of India’s most trusted and leading automotive manufacturers, has set a new benchmark in September 2025 by crossing the 1 lakh sales milestone in a single month. The company reported total vehicle sales of 100,298 units, achieving a robust 16% year-on-year growth compared to September 2024.

This landmark performance was not just a result of strong demand in the SUV segment, where Mahindra continues to be a dominant force, but also driven by impressive growth in commercial vehicles and 3-wheelers. Together, these segments reinforced Mahindra’s stronghold across both urban and rural markets.

Adding to the momentum, the festive season tailwinds of Navratri delivered record-breaking customer activity. Dealer-reported data showed over 60% growth in SUV retails and over 70% growth in CV retails during the first nine days of Navratri compared to last year. Combined with the benefits of the recently implemented GST 2.0 structure, which has made vehicles more affordable for customers, Mahindra experienced a surge in both footfalls and deliveries across showrooms nationwide.

This performance underscores Mahindra’s ability to balance product strength, festive demand, and regulatory benefits to deliver its highest-ever September sales — a milestone that places the company firmly on track for a strong second half of FY2025-26.

Utility Vehicles (SUVs)

Mahindra’s SUVs continue to dominate the Indian market:

  • Domestic SUV sales stood at 56,233 units, up 10% over September 2024.
  • Including exports, total SUV sales reached 58,714 units.
  • Despite supply constraints in the last 10 days of September (logistical bottlenecks for trailers), Mahindra maintained its momentum.

Key Drivers:

  • Consistent demand for Scorpio-N, XUV700, Thar, and Bolero Neo.
  • GST 2.0 tax relief has boosted affordability in key segments.
  • Navratri festival push helped achieve record dealer-level retails.

Commercial Vehicles & 3-Wheelers

Mahindra’s CV business showed strong resilience and growth:

  • Domestic CV sales: 26,728 units (+18%).
  • LCV <2T: 3,386 units (-2%), reflecting market saturation in entry-level freight.
  • LCV 2T–3.5T: 23,342 units (+21%), becoming the fastest-growing sub-segment.
  • 3-Wheelers (including electric): 13,017 units (+30%), highlighting rising demand for electric last-mile mobility solutions.

Exports

Mahindra strengthened its global footprint in September:

  • Exports: 4,320 units (+43% YoY).
  • YTD exports: 20,303 units (+38%).
  • Overseas demand was especially strong for SUVs and electric 3-wheelers, reflecting Mahindra’s international EV push.

Festive Boost: Navratri Surge

The festive season gave Mahindra a substantial lift:

  • SUV retails: Grew over 60% in the first nine days of Navratri compared to last year.
  • CV retails: Shot up over 70% in the same period.
  • Dealer reports confirm pent-up demand + GST 2.0 benefits drove customer footfalls and conversions.

CEO’s Comment

Nalinikanth Gollagunta, CEO – Automotive Division, commented:

“In September, we achieved SUV sales of 56,233 units, a growth of 10%, and total vehicle sales of 100,298 units, a 16% growth compared to the same month last year. Thanks to GST 2.0 and festive momentum, dealer-reported retails during Navratri surged over 60% in SUVs and 70% in CVs. We are working to streamline dispatches within logistical constraints.”

Final Thoughts:

Mahindra’s September 2025 sales milestone is a testament to its strong product portfolio and festive momentum. The SUV segment continues to anchor the company’s growth, while commercial vehicles and electric 3-wheelers add new strength.

Crossing the 1 lakh monthly sales mark with double-digit growth reinforces Mahindra’s market leadership, both domestically and globally. With the festive season in full swing and GST 2.0 providing added customer value, Mahindra is well-positioned to maintain momentum in the upcoming quarter.
