Primary Engine: 1.3-Litre Turbo-Petrol

At launch, the Nissan Tekton will feature the proven HR13 1.3-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine, producing 152 bhp and 250 Nm of torque.

The Tekton will launch as a petrol-only SUV, in line with Nissan’s shift toward cleaner, more efficient drivetrains.

Unlike its predecessor, the Tekton delivers:

  • A distinct Nissan design identity
  • A modern feature-set
  • Aggressive pricing
  • Expanded after-sales network
  • Export integration for sustained production

Why This Launch Matters

The Nissan Tekton marks a pivotal moment for Nissan India, reinforcing its commitment to the market and consumers.

For Indian buyers, this means:

  • More competition and choice
  • Better value through innovation
  • Proven CMF-B reliability
  • Global-quality standards at local pricing

Manufacturing and Localization

Built at the RNAIPL Chennai plant, the Tekton will utilize a deeply localized supplier base to ensure affordability without compromising quality.
The € 700 million investment covers platform development, localization, tooling, and supplier ecosystem strengthening.

Looking Ahead: Nissan’s Commitment to India

With the Tekton, Nissan signals a long-term comeback to India’s mainstream automotive market.
Executives have confirmed that the Tekton is just the first step in a product wave that will redefine Nissan’s footprint across SUVs, MPVs, and hybrids.

Conclusion

The unveiling of the Nissan Tekton is not just another model launch — it’s the symbol of Nissan’s renewed ambition in India.
Featuring bold Patrol-inspired styling, a robust turbo-petrol powertrain, advanced features, and global-grade engineering, the Tekton is positioned to shake up the mid-size SUV segment.

The real test begins in mid-2026, when the Tekton reaches dealerships. But one thing is certain — India’s mid-size SUV game just got a powerful new contender.
